Inspired: Sportmax S/S 2012 Iridescence

I have always been fascinated with the multi-color effects car oil creates when it spills on a rainy asphalt…I know – sooo romantic!  Anyway, I doubt that’s what the designers at Sportmax had in mind when creating their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, however their iridescent sweaters and shoes reminded me of exactly that.  I want them badly!  You can check their collection here. In the meantime I was inspired to sketch something up, showing what I would do if I had a sweater like that in my wardrobe.  Hope you like it! I especially like the merge of blues and greens so a denim play seemed obvious.  If you want to recreate the look you can get a cool light denim shirt like this one from Madewell.  Zara makes a really nice evergreen twill pant like the one on the sketch.
