The Fall 2012 shows are about to “rain” on us in the next few weeks so I felt the need to highlight some goodness from the S/S 2012 shows so they won’t be forgotten. One of my personal favorites from Spring was Isabel Marant’s collection (surprise, surprise:). The denim, the tees, the filet lace and the sport-inspired items – everything was perfection. However, I am especially impressed with the knits because I love me a surprise element and for me that was it in this collection. At first, I thought “Who is going to wear this during crazy Global Warming summers?!?” but I knew Marant never makes clothes you can’t wear so I zoomed on the images and I was so taken by those knits. Many are made from ribbon yarn, which is rather easy to wear in summer – breathable and cool. If you are wondering where to start your spring shopping, start with a rustic sweater! Not only it is unexpected and modern but it could work all year round. Oh, I can’t wait to get a piece like this. You?
